Kinini Anaerobic | Rwanda
The next drop in our 2026 Rwanda series is an anaerobic natural lot. This selection was fermented without oxygen in tanks before being depulped and dried. This processing method promotes more intense fruit flavors in the coffee – we taste juicy green apple, jasmine florals and citrus sweetness in this year's Kinini Anaerobic!

BEHIND THE CUP
About
We've been buying from Kinini since 2018, but our 2023 visit revealed just how serious they are about quality. When we showed Jacquie a retail bag with 1-2 minor defects (barely perceptible), she immediately called her staff together to eliminate them entirely. That's not normal. That's Kinini.
Their natural processing builds on years of experimentation and adaptation. Cherries are dried on raised beds with constant monitoring and sorting—because at Kinini, "good enough" doesn't exist. This lot comes from the Tubehoneza Farmer Group, a women-run collective that shares the cooperative's uncompromising standards and adaptation to best practices in drying anaerobic natural processed coffees.
