Shantawene Village sits in Sidama's Bensa District, where 940 farmers grow coffee on small plots throughout the community. Their harvest comes together at Gafissa Mill, run by the Dukamo family and their company Daye Bensa. The second generation of the Dukamo family, with Keenan at the helm, is starting to take the reins of the business, and they are continuing the good work of the founding brothers. Daye Bensa has become a recognized leader in high-quality coffee collection and curation, and this lot proves why.
We've been working with the Dukamo family since 2019. Every harvest they find ways to push quality forward.
